Subject: Migration of UDIN Portal to ICAI DigiCA Platform – Professional Advisory and Briefing

Dear Members,

This is to inform all members that the existing UDIN portal of ICAI is being migrated to the ICAI DigiCA platform with effect from 20 December 2025.

Due to this migration activity, the current UDIN portal shall remain temporarily unavailable from midnight of 19 December 2025 for approximately 24 hours.

Members are therefore advised to generate all required UDINs well in advance to avoid any professional, statutory, or compliance-related inconvenience.

ICAI DigiCA–Based UDIN Portal

Professional Briefing and Key Highlights

1. Login Mechanism

The UDIN portal will now operate on the ICAI DigiCA platform. Members shall log in using their ICAI SSP (Self Service Portal) credentials. No separate or fresh registration for the UDIN portal will be required.

2. Dashboard and Analytics

Upon login, members will have access to an enhanced dashboard providing graphical and analytical views of UDINs generated over previous years, including category-wise and period-wise summaries with advanced filtering options.

3. UDIN Generation – Categories

UDINs can be generated under the following major categories:

  • Certificates
  • GST and Tax Audit
  • Audit and Other Assurance Functions

For GST, Tax Audit and Audit/Assurance engagements, mention of PAN is mandatory to ensure seamless validation on statutory e-filing portals.
Further, members are required to indicate the Auditor’s Opinion (Unmodified / Qualified / Adverse / Disclaimer), which is intended for ICAI’s internal validation purposes.

4. Bulk UDIN Generation Facility

The new system provides a Bulk UDIN Generation facility for up to 300 UDINs at one time, through upload of a prescribed Excel/CSV template. This feature is particularly beneficial for firms handling large volumes of certifications and reports.

5. UDIN Listing, Download and Revocation

Members can:

  • View and filter previously generated UDINs
  • Download UDIN data in PDF or CSV formats
  • Revoke a UDIN within 48 hours of generation, subject to providing a valid reason and OTP authentication

6. UDIN Verification

The portal supports both Single and Bulk UDIN Verification, enabling banks, authorities, regulators and other stakeholders to verify the authenticity of documents signed by Chartered Accountants.

7. Grievance Redressal / Helpdesk

A dedicated Grievance and Helpdesk module is available on the portal, allowing members to lodge complaints and upload supporting documents for timely resolution.

8. UDIN Mobile Application

To facilitate mobile access, UDIN Mobile App (Android and iOS) is scheduled to be launched on 30 December 2025.
